Terry's Famous Apple Pi Recipe

We have wonderful apple trees and make this with our favorite Gravestein apples, although any flavorful apples will do. Peel, core and slice 6 cups apples putting them in a bowl of 2T vinegar to a gallon of water solution as you go to keep them from browning. Mix 1/2 cup sugar, 2T cornstarch and 2 tsp cinnamon (1/2 tsp nutmeg optional) in a bowl and toss apples in it. Take a refrigerated pie crust and line the bottom of your Pi Pie Plate. Pour fruit mixture into your Pi Pi Plate, dot the top with 2T butter and put a top crust on it. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 45-50 minutes. Cool and enjoy!
