Easiest hummingbird feeder to clean as it has a large round opening unlike those with a narrow opening. Makes it easy to fill also.

I have two of these feeders and they both work great with no issues. Hummingbirds seem to love them, I'm having to refill the feeders every two days...

These feeders are terrific! We would have one or two birds before. Now we see twice as many birds feeding at one time. I even called the manufacturer to order more of their food. They are very helpful

This kit is terrific. For a price less than the feeder purchased separately this kit includes a nectar concentrate as well. Now, 6 ounces of sugar water is not a big deal in itself, but it's a nice little addition to this already wonderful feeder. We have 6 of these and the birds seem to prefer them over 2 other styles. These are consistently empty before the others even when placed side-by-side. They're easy to dismantle & clean, have tolerated dropping from the 7 foot high hook, and keep a constant level of nectar in the bottom bowl.My hummingbirds recommend them.

Honestly, I wasn't going to get a hummingbird feeder after reading that in hot weather, the feeder should be thoroughly cleaned and the nectar replaced every two days, three tops. We're in the Southern California desert where it's hot most of the year and scorching from June through September, and having to clean and refill the feeder every couple of days just seemed like too much trouble. But then I noticed hummingbirds eating the jelly in our oriole feeder and I felt bad that we were offering the preferred foods of all our local birds except for hummingbirds. So I relented. After doing some research, I knew I wanted a red feeder (hummingbirds are attracted to the colors red and orange and I didn't want to have to rely on nectar with red food coloring to signal the hummingbirds) that doesn't leak, is easy to clean (given that I'll have to do it every couple of days) and has feeding ports and perches large enough to also accommodate bigger birds such as orioles (since our oriole feeder doesn't offer nectar) and woodpeckers. And I was hoping not to spend more than $10. I found a beautiful copper feeder on sale and almost bought it but the intricate flower-shaped feeding stations looked like they would be difficult to clean thoroughly and I didn't want a feeder I would have to scrub with a toothbrush. This feeder from First Nature has everything I wanted and even came with a small "starter" bottle of nectar concentrate and a handy hummingbird guide. I hung it from a shepherd's hook that's 6 feet off the ground and located it about 25 feet from the oriole feeder and the hummingbirds found it immediately. They love it, as do the orioles and our resident ladder-backed woodpecker couple. It doesn't leak and of all our bird feeders, it's the absolute easiest to clean. Unlike some hummingbirds feeders that have reservoir openings as narrow as a bottle, this one has a wide opening, and the two-piece base snaps apart easily. Clean the base and reservoir with warm, soapy water, rinse, dry, done. I liked this feeder so much, I purchased a second one with 32 oz capacity.Drawbacks? There are a few. It doesn't have a built-in ant moat (we haven't had any ants on our feeders so this is not an issue for us) or bee guards. Bees are definitely an issue with this feeder but the traditional round bee guards that sit on top of feeding ports are a mixed blessing: Many people report that while they keep bees away, they also discourage hummingbirds and make it very difficult or impossible for bigger birds like orioles and woodpeckers to feed. That's why I decided to order a feeder without the traditional bee guards but the bees have been very bad lately. They're not aggressive toward us humans but they intimidate the hummingbirds and at times make it impossible for them to drink. Because this feeder has 10 feeding ports, half a dozen or fewer bees still leave enough open ports for the hummingbirds but there are times when there are 20+ bees on the feeder, blocking every feeding port, not to mention consuming all my nectar.I saw that First Nature has a newer bee- & wasp-proof design that features two thin diagonal slots instead of the oval hole at each feeding port, and the 32 oz First Nature feeder I ordered was advertised as having the bee- and wasp-proof design but the one I received has exactly the same base as this one. So I have no idea if the new design solves the bee issue or not. I'm concerned, however, that these thin slots will not allow the orioles and woodpeckers to drink.Another drawback of this feeder applies to all feeders of this type: It's impossible to add or remove nectar without emptying/cleaning the feeder. You need a top-fill feeder if you want to be able to quickly add/remove nectar.Because of the attached hook, the reservoir won't stand up for filling but that problem is easily solved by placing the reservoir inside a cup or mug when you're filling it. And speaking of the attached s-hook, I do wish it came with a longer hanger. First Nature recommends attaching a chain but I found a nice metal s-hook in my tool drawer that is perfect for hanging this feeder.Overall this is a great hummingbird feeder and the hummingbirds love it (as do the orioles, woodpeckers and a couple of other birds). It's easy to fill, super easy to clean and, very important, it does not leak. As for the bees, they weren't much of an issue during the first month I had this feeder and I'm going to experiment with a few ideas I have to get the problem under control.

I have used these for years, I esp. like the wide mouth bottle for cleaning. I went to purchase more but the 'updated' version sold at WalMart has small slits, not oval holes. The hummers at my house don't like the slits. Glad to find this original version here online, and at a decent price!

These hummingbird feeders (the ORIGINAL design!) are the best ever. They are easy to clean because they come apart easily, and even better, do NOT leak when put back together. The feeding holes are large enough that several resident families of Bullock's Orioles are able to feed, also! They last quite well also. I highly recommend this model, ONLY!!

This turned out to be a very good buy. For one thing it screws from the bottom which allows it to beeasily and cleanly filled. The hummers seem to prefer this feeder. I only used the nectar stuff onceas I make my own. Good product - and pretty. Happy with purchase. Aloha.
